My wife has gotten on this “grow your own at home” kick lately, and bought two Earthboxes.
One’s got strawberries; the other, cucumbers.
There may be more where that came from if this thing goes well.
Which leads me to wonder how Sherri would feel about some backyard chickens.
I can already hear her response:
Are you crazy?
Well, don’t look now, but that wacky idea — backyard chicken coops in our residential neighborhoods — has got wings.
Legs, too.
Sounds like it may fly since the Manatee County Commission agreed last week to examine the issue further much to the delight of its proponents, Manatee CLUCK — Citizens Lobbying for Urban Chicken Keeping.
